  1. Allow quarantine of devices that have older version of an app installed

We regularly deploy enterprise apps and would like to know right away if a particular device has not updated to the latest version for whatever reason.

The Quarantine feature has been deprecated (though accounts that were using it still have access to it). If there is a new option that would help, please submit a new suggestion.

  2. Add Restrictions

Put more restrictions, like other systems of IT manangement to get the best of MDM and the iOS Apple Device.

Apple does not currently make it possible to configure/restrict location services or background updates settings on devices via MDM. If there are other settings/options you would like to see implemented, please submit a new suggestion.

Hi Chun Yun Wong- Apple doesn’t allow us to do this so we can’t implement it. Sorry!

  6. Specify the DNS servers - nameservers in the Wifi setup

We are helping customers to set up their Iphone and Ipad so they can watch Norwegain TV while abroad.

We are using the service from http://OverPlay.net to do this.

To enable the service from OverPlay we need to change the nameservers in the WiFi settings.

I suggest that this features is implemented i future versions.

Hi Ulrich- Great request. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t allow us to specify name servers. A possible workaround would be to either configure your customer’s DHCP servers to issue the desired name servers, or, to use the global proxy feature and configure the proxy to use the desired name servers. The latter will only work if the devices are in Apple supervised mode.

If neither of these solutions are acceptable, your best bet is to work with OverPlay.net and suggest that they build their service so that custom name servers are not required.

Sorry we can’t be of further help!

As explained by Matt Vlasach, this feature is currently technically not possible with Apple iOS.

  9. Timed App Access

It would be good not only to block certain apps but have the ability to block others a certain times of the day/week eg. school hours, nights etc.

iOS does not allow for the ability to outright block apps.
